QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH PROJECT

Where market questions
become tested models.

Metrion Research is an independent quantitative research project. We build models and systems to understand market structure, price behaviour, and risk — publishing general, non-personalized research for informational and educational purposes.

Research disclaimer — Metrion Research publishes general, non-personalized quantitative research and market commentary for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing published on this website constitutes personalized investment advice, portfolio management, financial planning, trading signals or a recommendation tailored to any individual. Metrion Research operates exclusively with its own capital. It does not manage third-party funds, accept client money, execute orders for third parties or provide regulated investment services. Any discussion of securities, financial instruments, markets, strategies or expected returns reflects general research and should not be interpreted as an instruction to buy, sell or hold any asset. Past performance does not guarantee future results. All investments carry risk of loss.

01
Research

Statistical and quantitative analysis of liquid markets. Every finding is treated as a hypothesis, tested and documented before it earns any weight.

02
Technology

Data pipelines, backtesting frameworks, and execution systems built in-house for reproducibility, speed, and clear audit trails.

03
Risk

Capital preservation is the starting constraint. Sizing, exposure, and drawdown limits are enforced at the system level, not by discretion.

"We study markets through models, data, and disciplined risk thinking."

Approach

How we turn a question about market structure into a tested, risk-bounded internal model.

01 / RESEARCH

Research

Our process starts with a question about market structure or price behaviour — not a trade idea. We work with historical and real-time data across liquid instruments to build statistical models we can test, break, and refine.

Every finding is treated as a hypothesis. A model earns a place in our internal systems only after surviving out-of-sample testing, walk-forward validation, and independent review.

This is internal, non-personalized research. It is not investment advice, and it is not prepared for any third party.

02 / TECHNOLOGY

Technology

Research is only as good as the systems behind it. We design and maintain our own data infrastructure, backtesting engines, and execution systems — built for reproducibility, low latency, and clear audit trails.

Engineering and research are the same discipline at Metrion Research: every model is code, every claim is testable, and every system is built to fail safely.

03 / RISK

Risk

Capital preservation is the starting constraint, not an afterthought. Every model we run operates inside pre-defined limits — position sizing, exposure caps, and drawdown thresholds enforced at the system level.

We operate exclusively with our own capital. There is no external capital, no assets under management, and no client exposure to manage. Past performance of any internal model is not indicative of future results.

MANIFESTO

Who we are

Metrion Research is an independent research project in quantitative analysis and proprietary trading. We study liquid markets through data, models, and technology, operating exclusively with our own capital.

We publish general, non-personalized quantitative research and market commentary for informational and educational purposes. Published content does not constitute investment advice, does not provide trading signals, and is not intended to raise capital or provide investment services.

We are researchers and engineers first. We hold ourselves to the same standard as any technical discipline: reproducible results, documented assumptions, and rigorous review before anything is trusted.

Own capital
No external funds, ever.
Engineering rigor
Tested before trusted.
